I am sued by law firm for my credit card debt what do I need to do?

If you were told you WILL be sued, the collector is LYING, and no law firm is involved at this stage. If you have actual paperwork from the court, Contact the attorney and attempt to negotiate a settlement. The law firm employs intelligent life, unlike the collection agency. They actually settle these cases by the boxful. Assuming you actually owe the debt, going to court is useless.
