I personally use debtwave. I came upon them by doing research on the internet.
I believe you get a free consultation when you call. They will provide you with different solutions to your debt problems (whether to pursue consolidating or bankruptcy depending on your situation)

After your consultation they will ask if you want them to be your middle man.
It’s an okay company. You get tips every month or so on how to reduce debt while you are in the program.

Hope this helps.The only one that I consider legitimate is Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS). They are a non-profit organization (won’t charge you a dime, they work on donations). Their website is www.cccsinc.org .
Most others will charge you a fee or worsen your credit. Be careful and hope things turn out brighter.
