Can I ban debt collectors from calling me?

Not if they are busy collecting. If they are telemarketing, looking for people to sign up o have their debts collected on, you can ban them then. But you can not stop legal collection activity, other then stepping up and doing the right thing, paying your bills. You can not because you gave them your phone number. What I suggest you to do is to call them and change your phone number. They will constantly get the wrong number. They would only be able to mail you. That is what I do and I am loving the silence.
Yes, pay off the debts you legitimately owe. If you don't owe the debts, prove it and they'll have to back down. Let me ask you this. If somebody owed you money which they refused to pay, to what lengths would you go to get the money back? How would you like to be banned from contacting he deadbeat who screwed you out of your hard earned money?
