Some of these companies take your money, tell you not to pay your bills, and they in turn do nothing. The thinking is that the cc companies will get nervous and settle. But it just does not happen, you end up in court anyway.

You can do this yourself. Get a book at a bookstore called credit repair for dummies. Or just call the companies yourself and ask them to settle or lower rates.
